Learn how to save documents and information to a CD .
Learn how to save documents and information to a USB drive.

  1. Run all district  pushed windows updates.  (If you have updates waiting to be installed, there will be a yellow shield on the bottom right corner of your screen.)
  2. Update virus definitions and run a virus scan.
  3. Install Microsoft Office 2007.  To do this, click on the Start button, then select Run.  When the menu pops up on your screen, type aps2007 into the box and press OK.
  4. Check the Internet Explorer version you have installed on your computer.  For the migration to run properly, you must have Internet Explorer 7 running. Internet Explorer 8 will fail!
  5. Clean out your GroupWise email. Calendar items will transfer from your GroupWise account to the new Microsoft Outlook account.  Once you have changed over to Outlook, you will not be able to view calendar updates from other sites that have not been migrated yet.
